seriously.

This weekend was great, every weekend should be a three day weekend! The only bad thing was me gaining a 1/2 lb. SERIOUSLY. I know that sounds like nothing, but it's so frustrating when I wake up early to work out and track all my food. I'm really just mad at myself..... maybe I fibbed a little about having some chocolates and A piece of cake on Valentine's day, which should be referred to as "Screw Your New Year's Resolution Day". Maybe, just maybe, I ate half of the cake, piece by piece over the course of 4 nights. WHOOPS. OTHER than that I have been doing so good with the WW diet and working out, but really WHY does GOD let some people stay skinny while enjoying all my favorite foods and WHY does he make those ladies my bestest friends! You guys know I love you but can you share some of that fast metabolism you were blessed with?!

So this week I am SERIOUSLY back on track. For the past 4 weeks I have been planning all of our dinners and hitting the grocery store every Sunday for the week. So far so good, last night we had grilled chicken salad and I love to add cranberries and glazed walnuts in there. Tonight I got carry out from Glory Days BUT I was good and had a grilled chicken salad AGAIN. Tomorrow I'm making Baked Turkey and Jack Cheese Chimichangas (6 WW PointsPlus). I have made this before and it turned out pretty good! I'm really excited about Thursday's meal, Healthy Mexican Sweet Potato Skins (5 WW PointsPlus) hopefully it turns out tasting as good as the picture looks. My go to meal, pretty much every week is Baked Chicken Parmesan (6 WW PointsPlus). Liam loves this and I get beyond excited when he likes anything I make, therefore it is a weekly meal.

Other than me getting fluffier this weekend, I also took Liam to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised, it was cleaner than I thought. Liam loved it and I didn't spend a DIME :) He got to run around like the wild man that he is and they actually have a toddler area with a slide so he loved that. He got to jam out and dance with his buddies. He was obsessed with Chuck, the giant, scary looking mouse, who would give a little concert every 15 minutes and then the curtain would close and Liam would put his hands up and say "oooh nooo". Liam was SERIOUSLY obsessed with the merry go round, which he rode 20 times on every other kids tokens because he refused to get off.

AND SERIOUSLY, people should not be allowed to bring sweet treats, especially colossal doughnuts from Shoppers, into the office while I'm on a diet. It's just RUDE. OK, that's my last "seriously". Here are a few pics of my monkey at Chuck E. Cheese.

Until next time,

valentine's day.

Oh, Valentine's Day, I grew up loving this day as a kid. You get to make a little mailbox on your desk at school, exchange cute little valentines and eat candy. I hated this day as a teenager...I will never look at carnations the same ever again. Now that I am happily married and have a child, I am back to loving it! It was fun to make valentine cards for Liam's class, brought back memories.

I made Liam a heart shaped cake that turned out awesome, thank you Pinterest! I am on a diet but I'm pretty sure Valentine's day is considered a holiday in the diet world. That being said I enjoyed my chocolates and a piece of cake. Yes, I said AND. I'm not exactly sure how many weight watchers points that is so we'll just pretend that didn't happen. Back on track tomorrow :)

This morning I dropped Liam off at school with his little shirt that has a fake tie and a heart sticker on his face. He carried his valentine over to his teacher and it was the cutest thing ever! Of course I left my phone in the car and didn't get a picture of this ...but trust me it was stinkin' cute!

On the way home from work we stopped by Gramma and Grandpa's house to drop off their valentine from Liam. Gramma got Liam a gift card to Sweet Frog (hopefully mommy doesn't use it first) and an adorable cupcake from Persnickety Cakes

Hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's Day!!!
XOXO

weekend.

This weekend flew by just like every other but this one was a little different. I swear Liam changed overnight. I can finally understand him, the gibberish he has been speaking for weeks is starting to change. He walked over to the frig and pulled out an apple and turned and said "APPLE", plain as day. Then he also said "THANK YOU", I about fell out of my chair. I have been waiting for him to speak English and the day has finally arrived! He already says the basic stuff, but this was a huge step and I loved hearing his little voice say something different. As a parent you feel like you are on repeat ALL the time, say please, say thank you, what color is that, what does a duck say, please don't climb the bookshelf..... and when those things pay off and they say and do what they are supposed to, it's mind blowing (they really ARE listening) and a very proud moment. Liam now sits in a booster seat at the kitchen table. I think it is the cutest thing to sit across from him and see him so proud of himself as he eats.

On Saturday, we took him to the car wash, of course he slept through the actual wash but was very excited when we got out for them to clean the inside and he watched all the other cars take a "car bath".

On Sunday, I made Liam this smoothie called the Toddler Hidden Veggie Smoothie. He loved it, sucked it right down. It is a struggle to get Liam to eat veggies but he loves to drink water and milk so I thought why not give it a try. Worked like a charm! If your toddler or child or husband does not like veggies this smoothie is worth a try. It's very easy to make!

Liam's proud moment at the table and at the car wash.

Until next time,
