father's day

Today we had so much fun celebrating the best dads ever. I am one lucky girl to have an amazing dad, husband and brother who are such great dads. Here's a few pics from our cookout today.

I'm BACK...

I wish I had some wild story to post about, like I've been busy traveling the world for the past 3 months ....Actually, come to find out, I suck at blogging. You live, you learn. That being said I am going to TRY my hardest to post more often. Life has been so busy lately and even when I have time to sit down and blog I end up just watching BRAVO instead. I'm also an Instagram junkie so no blog posts but tons of pics on IG. How did my mom ever survive without it?!? I track everything going on with Liam thru a snapshot and a quick post on there.

Liam just turned 21 months, why is time moving so fast?! He is hilarious. He is talking so much, so the fits are a little more entertaining :) The latest word he has said is cupcake, where he screamed it at a birthday party. I always said "I'll just wait until he asks for one instead of just giving it to him." The DAY HAS COME, he won and tore that cupcake up! We have started time out, he loves it. Go FIGURE. He sits there so quietly and waits for his minute to be up, when he sees us coming to get him his eyes light up like a kid on Christmas. He says "sowy" in the sweetest voice ever and opens his arms and gives the biggest bear hug. Now that I'm typing this, I kinda love time outs too :) He is still working on the teeth department, with only 5 on top and 4 on the bottom. We are getting there, maybe by his 5th birthday he will have a full set. We just finished swim lessons, more of a work out for me but I need it so it's all good. He loved it though, THANK GOD!

I have tried a few new recipes. Liam's favorite has been the Bubble Up Enchiladas. It is yummy but next time I'm going to add some veggies in there, maybe corn or black beans. Last week we also tried out Skinny Tex Mex Casserole. Josh and I loved it, it was a little spicy for Liam because of the Rotel tomatoes and green chilies, but he still ate some. I wanted to make Liam some cookies and found this recipe on Pinterest and Liam danced while he ate them, I take that as he liked them:) They are Healthy Banana Cookies. I had some Reese's chips (maybe that cancels out the healthy part of the recipe) leftover from some other tasty treat I made so instead of the walnuts I put the chips in there, SO GOOD!

On to the pictures, from Easter to Memorial Day Weekend :)

Food.

Since I was home with Liam today I started dinner early tonight. Come to find out it was the fastest recipe ever and tasted good so I have to share! Of course I found this one on Pinterest but it came from a blog that I always love to check out. Liam didn't try this cause he is sick and it's a little spicy. It's called Spicy Sausage Pasta, the only thing I did different was using vegetable penne pasta. Honestly, you can't go wrong with meat, cheese and pasta.

Blog pic....

Mine, nailed it! :)

On the weekends I started making this smoothie, Josh and I both love it. Easy, tastes good...try it! Liam likes it too :)

Another dinner I made a few nights ago is Skinny Chicken Cordon Bleu, this turned out delicious!! You have to try it!

Until next time,

18 months.

On Saturday Liam turned 18 months, that was the longest and shortest 18 months of my life. Liam amazes me everyday with new words and new faces. He has 5 teeth, three top and two bottom. He may or may not have 2 on the upper side. It really is impossible to get in there and see so I will stick to the 5 that I see when flashes that adorable smile.

Liam's favorite little sentences (not always nice):

-Let Go!
-All Right!
-NO WAY!
-Go Away!
-Oh Nooo!
-HELLOOOO.. Ha ha .. HELLOoo!
-Coppa No No!!

Liam can tell you where his nose, eyes, mouth, ears, feet and belly button are. He is so silly sometimes and just bursts into laughter for no real reason at all. His dance moves consist of flapping his arms and jumping without his feet leaving the ground. This kid is beyond talented :) His FAVORITE show right now is Caillou, he can not get enough of it. I find myself singing the theme song everynight before I go to bed and randomly at work. He loves dogs and woof woofs every time he sees them. He loves to high five and "pound it", bump his fist with daddy. He talks ALL the time and I LOVE it. If you tell him to go get something like his shoes, he does it or tell him it's time to take a bath, brush his teeth, he heads for the bathroom. His favorite part of his bedtime routine is brushing his teeth, hope it stays that way :)

Saturday morning Old Town Manassas had a St. Patrick's Day parade. Liam has not missed an Old Town parade since he was born. He was a little fussy when we got there but once he was up on daddy's shoulders watching the parade go by he loved it. He also got to run around the closed off parking lot like the WILD man that he is, probably his favorite part. They had music and a band playing so naturally he busted out his amazing dance moves.

Saturday night, little man had a fever and the fun began. Sunday was gorgeous but we spent the whole day on the couch cuddling and sleeping cause he was not feeling well. Monday morning was supposed to be his 18 month well visit but that got changed to a sick visit, only to find out that he has the flu. Daddy stayed home with him yesterday and now we are home again today, but he is feeling much better and we will be back to school tomorrow!

Few pics from our snow day and the weekend....

GiGi.

Wednesday morning we flew down to Florida to visit my grandma, GiGi. Liam did really good on the flight down and let everyone know first thing that he was on the plane, when the pilot came on the speakerphone Liam yelled out HELLLLLO. It was adorable! He loved looking out the window but THANK GOD the flight was only 2 1/2 hours.

The weather was not very nice while we were there, it actually didn't feel like Florida at all since we were still in our jeans but we still had a good time. We went to see my grandpa, had lunch outside in the sun, went to the Children's Museum, met GiGi's (now she wants to be called Nana, GiGi "sounds like a showgirl's name") friends and of course went to Wal-Mart. Liam did so good and the older ladies LOVED him. We had lots of laughs and made some great memories that will last a lifetime. Seeing Josh and my grandma crack up laughing and seeing her interact with Liam and make him laugh is the best memory of all. My grandma is the funniest and sweetest grandma EVER. She is one beautiful lady, really, one of a kind and we miss her already.

Trying to get Liam to sit still for a pick is pretty much impossible, but we got a few good ones!

Until next time,
Pauline
