Food.

Since I was home with Liam today I started dinner early tonight. Come to find out it was the fastest recipe ever and tasted good so I have to share! Of course I found this one on Pinterest but it came from a blog that I always love to check out. Liam didn't try this cause he is sick and it's a little spicy. It's called Spicy Sausage Pasta, the only thing I did different was using vegetable penne pasta. Honestly, you can't go wrong with meat, cheese and pasta.

Mine, nailed it! :)

On the weekends I started making this smoothie, Josh and I both love it. Easy, tastes good...try it! Liam likes it too :)

Another dinner I made a few nights ago is Skinny Chicken Cordon Bleu, this turned out delicious!! You have to try it!

18 months.

On Saturday Liam turned 18 months, that was the longest and shortest 18 months of my life. Liam amazes me everyday with new words and new faces. He has 5 teeth, three top and two bottom. He may or may not have 2 on the upper side. It really is impossible to get in there and see so I will stick to the 5 that I see when flashes that adorable smile.

Liam's favorite little sentences (not always nice):

-Let Go!
-All Right!
-NO WAY!
-Go Away!
-Oh Nooo!
-HELLOOOO.. Ha ha .. HELLOoo!
-Coppa No No!!

Liam can tell you where his nose, eyes, mouth, ears, feet and belly button are. He is so silly sometimes and just bursts into laughter for no real reason at all. His dance moves consist of flapping his arms and jumping without his feet leaving the ground. This kid is beyond talented :) His FAVORITE show right now is Caillou, he can not get enough of it. I find myself singing the theme song everynight before I go to bed and randomly at work. He loves dogs and woof woofs every time he sees them. He loves to high five and "pound it", bump his fist with daddy. He talks ALL the time and I LOVE it. If you tell him to go get something like his shoes, he does it or tell him it's time to take a bath, brush his teeth, he heads for the bathroom. His favorite part of his bedtime routine is brushing his teeth, hope it stays that way :)

Saturday morning Old Town Manassas had a St. Patrick's Day parade. Liam has not missed an Old Town parade since he was born. He was a little fussy when we got there but once he was up on daddy's shoulders watching the parade go by he loved it. He also got to run around the closed off parking lot like the WILD man that he is, probably his favorite part. They had music and a band playing so naturally he busted out his amazing dance moves.

Saturday night, little man had a fever and the fun began. Sunday was gorgeous but we spent the whole day on the couch cuddling and sleeping cause he was not feeling well. Monday morning was supposed to be his 18 month well visit but that got changed to a sick visit, only to find out that he has the flu. Daddy stayed home with him yesterday and now we are home again today, but he is feeling much better and we will be back to school tomorrow!

Few pics from our snow day and the weekend....

GiGi.

Wednesday morning we flew down to Florida to visit my grandma, GiGi. Liam did really good on the flight down and let everyone know first thing that he was on the plane, when the pilot came on the speakerphone Liam yelled out HELLLLLO. It was adorable! He loved looking out the window but THANK GOD the flight was only 2 1/2 hours.

The weather was not very nice while we were there, it actually didn't feel like Florida at all since we were still in our jeans but we still had a good time. We went to see my grandpa, had lunch outside in the sun, went to the Children's Museum, met GiGi's (now she wants to be called Nana, GiGi "sounds like a showgirl's name") friends and of course went to Wal-Mart. Liam did so good and the older ladies LOVED him. We had lots of laughs and made some great memories that will last a lifetime. Seeing Josh and my grandma crack up laughing and seeing her interact with Liam and make him laugh is the best memory of all. My grandma is the funniest and sweetest grandma EVER. She is one beautiful lady, really, one of a kind and we miss her already.

Trying to get Liam to sit still for a pick is pretty much impossible, but we got a few good ones!

Until next time,

terrible twos?

(I meant to post this last Monday, whoops) This past weekend was anything but relaxing, I need another weekend to recover. My little monkey, love of my life, apple of my eye, favorite person ever has entered his terrible twos at full speed and oh, just about 6 months early! This weekend he started temper tantrums and he has now mastered the word NO in all 6900 languages. His answer to everything is NO! and I'm about to loose my mind.

This morning on the way into school Liam threw another fit, the kind where his legs become jello jigglers and he hits the ground like a ton of bricks. I'm thinking to myself never let him see you sweat, I GOT THIS! As the nice lady in the hallway tilts her head and says "awwww, poor baby". LADY are you serious, poor baby, you must not have children of your own, POOR MOMMY! Liam made me want to bust a U turn after dropping him off and head straight to a bar.

This too shall pass...sometimes the only thing I can do is take a deep breath and give him a big hug. I know it's not easy for either of us.  On Sunday, I decided to make him some Toddler Muffins in hopes this would put a smile on his face and it did! THANK GOD! He loves them and kept putting his little hands together saying "mo mo". I love it when he signs to us! Another thing he loves to do is pull his stool into the bathroom and brush his teeth (suck on the toothbrush). After I brush, all 5 of his teeth, I let him do it and play with the water in the sink. It's the little things that make this little guy happy.

Later this week we fly to Florida to see GiGi, my grandma. I'm nervous about the flight with Liam, even though it will be his third time flying. I feel as though the trips are only getting worse. Wish us lots of luck with a side of tequila!

Here's a pic of the toddler muffins and Liam being a big boy, brushing his teeth!
